DescriptionThe Bargeman's Rest is located on Newport's previously busy quay - named Little London as it reminded coastal sailing skippers of The Port of London with its bustle of ships.
It is owned and has been converted by brothers Neil and Andrew Gibbs and their partners Stephanie Gibbs and Jane Simmonds.
It is located right next to Newport's Little London Quay, which is the highest navigable point of the River Medina.
From Coppin's Bridge round-about take the road for Cowes and then come off at the first exit immediately afterwards. At the round-about in front of Curry's turn right and then turn right again under the bridge. Bear left at the next mini round-about and you go past some car showrooms. Take the first right to bring you down onto the waterfront and turn right again. There is parking in front of the pub.
The Bargeman's Rest has live music on most nights.
It is the ideal place for a wedding reception or party with a large upstairs function room with it's own bar and a balcony with views over the river.
The Bargeman's also has a large seminar room for meetings and seminars.
