Description
Honeysuckle Cottage dates back to 1761. It still has the original flag stone floors in the kitchen and hall. It is beautifully maintained and offers a cosy retreat after exploring the West Wight. We have tried to keep the character throughout. The cottage consists of an entrance hall, lounge/dining room and kitchen downstairs and two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. It is equipped for 4 people.The lounge is a comfortable seating area complete with colour TV. The dining room has a pine table and chairs, which will seat four people. In the dining area there is also a small freezer. The kitchen is well equipped having an electric cooker, fridge, microwave and all the mod cons to make your stay comfortable.
The main bedroom consists of a double bed, chest of drawers etc and built in wardrobe space. It has delightful views overlooking fields. The second bedroom contains bunk beds. There is floor space for a sleeping bag, an occasional fold-out foam bed is provided. This room has a built in wardrobe and airing cupboard. Both bedrooms have pillows and duvets provided but please bring your own bed linen.
Heating in the cottage is provided by storage heaters. There is a pleasant courtyard garden at the front in which to relax. Free on-street parking is available close by, with no time limit. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets and the cottage is strictly non-smoking.

To help us maintain our attractive rates, we would be very grateful if all occupants would kindly leave the cottage in a clean and tidy condition, in readiness for the next occupants.
The village of Niton is on the most southerly tip of the Isle of Wight and is approximately 7 miles west of Ventnor. This delightful village has a selection of food shops, a pub, churches and a school. There is a local bus service, which goes to Ventnor, Shanklin, and the Islands capital town, Newport. There are also plenty of local walks should you wish to explore.
The delightful village of Niton offers a good range of shops including, chemist, post office, butcher and a well stocked supermarket. The village also has a friendly pub which serves excellent food. Within walking distance from the village is St Catherines Lighthouse and the Pepper Pot, both offer the most stunning views of the Solent. The Coastal footpaths are well maintained and it is possible to walk from Blackgang Chine to Freshwater Bay.
Honeysuckle Cottage is situated in an area which would suit both keen walkers and families with children. The beaches are a childs delight and nearby is the original Dinosaur Museum, where they can learn all about these prehistoric creatures and see some fascinating specimens.
