DescriptionThe Seashell Restaurant & Grill quite simply encompasses everything thats special about the Isle of Wight. You will enjoy locally produced food, prepared, cooked and served by locals while you enjoy unrivalled views of the Solent. Peter, Matt and Kirsty at The Seashell are passionate about the whole dining experience. Peter runs the front of house service and is always ready to welcome you with a friendly greeting and a well-researched opinion on your choice of wine!
Peter is an absolute perfectionist and will strive to meet your every need before you even ask. Matt in the kitchen will use fresh local ingredients, combined with his innate talent to produce from scratch, food that looks almost as good as it tastes! Kirsty is somewhat fickle! Having frankly perfected her front of house skills, Matt has now taken her under his wing to teach her to be a chef. Kirsty is just pleased to be nearer the desserts!!
Lunchtimes at The Seashell offer classics with class, such as cod and chips, freshly boned, hand battered, cooked to order with homemade tartare sauce, moules mariniere, served with a baguette (because youll want to mop up every last drop of the sauce!) and paella, of course. Also on offer are Isle of Wight sirloin steaks and gammon steaks, omelettes of your choice and a daily specials board offering whatever has taken Matts fancy!
Lunchtimes opening hours are Wednesday to Sunday 12 - 2.30 with OAP fish and chips for £4.99 Wednesday to Saturday and Isle of Wight roast beef and all the trimmings for £7.95 on a Sunday. Throughout nthis Summer we are offering a Daily Changing Specials Board, with local meats and Seafood as well as a vegetarian option. Because we source locally wherever we can this is dependant on availability and subject to change.
Open from 6 oclock in the evenings, it is always advisable to book, as we do also offer the restaurant for private parties and functions. Any special occasions or special requirements can be catered for - just call in advance; if it can be done, the team at The Seashell will do it!
Peter, Matt and Kirsty have four simple passions...food, drink, service and of course the Island. All these passions are what they hope to pass on to you - so dont just go out for a meal, come to The Seashell Restaurant and go out for the full Isle of Wight Experience!
