Being just two hours from London, a relaxing break on the Isle of Wight couldnt be easier. There is something for all the family to enjoy while you disappear to play our County Championship course!
The Island itself is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club is also readily recognised for its natural beauty, spectacular views and challenging qualities. The 5th and 13th holes are two of the best you will enjoy anywhere in the South of England. Although not excessive in length, this beautiful heath land course is more difficult than its length implies. There are some strong slopes and gradients, with gorse, tree and shrub lined fairways making accurate driving and careful club selection essential for successful scores.
After your round, sit back and enjoy the atmosphere of the spacious clubhouse, looking out from your elevated viewing point over the 9th, whilst sampling the catering of Garry Loftus. The Club has full catering and dining facilities, but make sure you book ahead for Sunday lunch specials and why not bring the rest of the family?
We aim to provide you with some great golf with hospitality to match, making your visit truly memorable.
The Club does have a dress code standard that visitors must adhere to on the course and within the club house.

Westridge Golf Club
Brading Road
Ryde
PO33 1QS
Tel: 01983 613131
Westridge Golf Centre is a family friendly facility. Our Mature easy walking course has been designed to provide a challenge to both beginners and skilled players alike.
Our Practice facilities are second to none and has the Island's only flood lit driving range.
We have the very latest in teaching and club fitting aids. With expert advice on hand from 4 fully qualified P.G.A. professionals.
Our golf shop has the largest golfing retail area on the Island. We stock all major brands of club and is open 7 days a week until late.
We have finance packages available and wide range or golfing wear.
Why not relax after your game in our fully licensed bar or maybe take advantage of our restaurant facilities for both organised events or private functions.
Every course has it's signature hole. Perhaps, it is the second that takes this honour. A testing drive between trees, to a narrow fairway. Not only is a straight ball called for but distance too is important to permit a relatively easy chip to the green, which is at right angles to the fairway. The third hole also provides a challenge with longish carry over scrub to a 'tightly' guarded green.
If you suffer from fear of water then you may have to find an alternative route to the sixth, a picturesque hole that tempts the carry across the water. Whatever your standard we know that you will enjoy a round at Westridge.
