There is a large park close by, known as Los Altos and the shops and facilities of the High Street are within a 10 minute walk, as is the beach and Esplanade.

There is ample parking and the area is quiet. The quality and presentation of our food has always been a source of pride at Friends and is fundamental to the enjoyment of our guests. With our generous home cooked four course evening dinner, there is something to suit every taste and to complement your meal, we offer a comprehensive wine list. A vegetarian option is available upon request.

At the Friends Hotel there are 25 en-suite bedrooms and we can accommodate 45 guests all year round. There are several family rooms and children of all ages are always welcome. The Isle of Wight is one of the most serene, yet exciting parts of Britain. It is a place that seems to exert an irresistible attraction that brings visitors back time after time. Friends Hotel is located at Sandown which is the tourist hub for the Isle of Wight and boasts a traditional pier, safe sandy beach, restaurants and a vibrant nightlife. This exciting part of the Island caters for all ages, with its bars, clubs and idyllic walks along the seafront to Shanklin.

The minute you step on the ferry there is a sense of chilling out. For a stress free, fun family holiday, the Island is popular all year round. And for those who like a physical challenge, if it´s an adventure holiday you are after then look no further. With over half the Island designated as an area of outstanding beauty and a network of footpaths that stretches over 500 miles, it´s easy to get close to nature. Alternatively, if you are looking for somewhere to be spoilt, then indulge yourself in the Isle of Wight´s fine restaurants, art galleries and historic houses.
