Description
Welcome to Pelican Racing based in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
Pelican Racing is a RYA Training Centre, a Laser SB3 charter company and Magic Marine retailer.
Our aim to provide hassle-free sailing to everyone, from beginners to advanced sailors, from children to adults and from sailing courses to a multi-event charter. Our base is located on the entrance to Cowes High Street and our boats are dry sailed from Cowes Yacht Haven, so you can’t get any closer to the centre of the Solent – The best sailing in the UK!
Our services are split into 5 main areas:
Training - RYA courses from Start Sailing to Performance Sailing and Racing.
Sailing - From bareboat and skippered charter to Trysails.
Racing - Racing events from club racing to the Laser SB3 World Championships.
Power - From experience rides to RYA courses.
MAGIC MARINE - Latest sailing and watersports clothing from Magic Marine.

Training
Pelican Racing offers a wide range of RYA sailing, powerboating and navigation theory courses. With the RYA's keelboat training you will cover sail and motor techniques, with the basic principles being similar to dinghy sailing, but the experience of being on a small yacht.
Our Keelboat Courses follow the RYA National syllabus and provide an excellent platform for those who prefer the comfort, stability, versatility and performance that you get with our Laser SB3s keelboats.
RYA Level 2 is very popular for pre-flotilla training, with many Med-based flotilla charter companies now accepting this as the minimum qualification needed for some yacht flotilla holidays.
