Description

The Wight Mouse Inn is a 17th Century coaching inn of immense charm and character offering delightful accommodation with a modern, fresh feel. It was a favourite haunt of European royalty, society and literary figures in the heyday of the Island as a holiday venue for the smart set. The pub is now a very popular meeting place for locals, farmers and holidaymakers alike.

The Wight Mouse Inn has a cosy atmosphere, a real welcome and value for money, plus delicious food and drink. But it´s not only these things that make it a great pub. It´s something to do with the pub´s warmth and authenticity, the friendliness of our team and finding your own nook or cranny to settle into.

The services provided include children´s play facilities and outdoor eating as well as views from the Isle of Wight. Why not enjoy our finest ales accompanied with exquisite food, after a relaxing pub walk? The restaurant is renowned locally for its excellent food and drink. From the restaurant you can enjoy wonderful views of the sea and sunsets. Our chef uses local produce whenever possible and we have an excellent wine list of over 13 different wines from 8 varying countries.

The restaurant walls are adorned with a fine collection of line English original watercolours, oil paintings and old prints and the atmosphere is always welcoming and friendly. During the winter you can escape the wind and rain and warm up next to our traditional log burning fires.

Our coastline and the National Trust countryside display the most attractive and variable scenery on the island. Along the coast there are fine sandy beaches with low cliffs and massive outcrops of sandstone, split at intervals by gorges known as Chines - the most famous being Blackgang. The Wight Mouse Inn prides itself on the facilities for families and children too. Not only do they have outdoor swings and an adventure playground with climbing areas, but also an indoor "popzone" play area with ball ponds and safe padded areas.
