About UKSA
The magic of UKSA (United Kingdom Sailing Academy) is the ethos that underpins our whole organisation. As a charity and non-profit making organisation, our mission is the improvement of lives through watersports activities. It’s a great mission to follow and is what makes UKSA so unique. We love what we do, have a passion for sharing it and want to inspire as many people as we possibly can through our work, so come and join us.

UKSA offer the widest possible variety of courses for serious recreational sailors, watersports enthusiasts and motor boaters. The majority of these courses are delivered through one day, weekend and five day programmes. As well as practical courses afloat, we also offer a range of shore-based training courses for both beginners and experts.

Watersports
UKSA offer a whole variety of weekend and five day watersports programmes for young people and adults:
Dinghy Sailing
Kayaking
Canoeing
Windsurfing
Kitesurfing
Rib / Powerboat training
All our RYA, BCU and BKSA watersports courses are run by instructors who are experts in their field and are focused on providing challenging, yet safe environments in which to maximise your learning, fun and success. The range and quality of our watersports kit provides all you could wish for – whether you’re a beginner or aspiring professional, we have the ideal equipment to maximise your learning and enjoyment.

Kids Club / Multi-Activity (ages 8-16)
Five and seven day programmes include tuition to national governing body standards in dinghy sailing, windsurfing and kayaking. A high level of care and supervision is provided on all our programmes for young people. On-the-water activities and a full evening entertainment programme ensure that young people are occupied and entertained from early morning until bedtime. A duty instructor in residence every night ensures our guests have access to help or assistance 24 hours a day.

Shorebased courses
Whether you are new to the marine industry, or an experienced enthusiast, our range of one and five day courses will increase your knowledge and skills.Navigation – basic use of electronics through to ocean theory.

Sea survival, first aid and fire fighting.
Marine engineering and yacht maintenance.

Essentials
Our 3.5 acre campus in Cowes is fully equipped to cater for everyone from school groups taking part in residential multi-activity weeks to experienced mariners.
We have on-site accommodation for 270 people, with comprehensive facilities including heated indoor pool, multi-gym, bar, shop and Internet café. With food and accommodation included on five and seven day courses, visitors can focus on their studies and chosen area of expertise.
