Description

A warm welcome awaits you when you visit St Catherine’s House Bed and Breakfast holiday accommodation on the beautiful Isle of Wight. Once the vicarage to St Catherine’s Church in Ventnor, this lovely old Victorian property dates back to 1874 and is positioned within a secluded and quiet private road. Your amiable hosts, Shelley and Duncan aim to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.

St Catherine’s has been extensively refurbished over the years and offers stylish Isle of Wight B&B accommodation, providing the perfect base from which to explore the Island. In addition, it is also conveniently situated to Ventnor´s town, beach and harbour, which are approximately a five-minute walk from the property.

Accommodation
Two beautiful rooms are available at St Catherine‘s, with both decorated and tastefully furnished to a very high standard and providing ample drawer and wardrobe space. A television, DVD and separate radio/CD player plus computer with wireless broadband and interactive programmes are also included. A hairdryer and generous complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, chocolates and fresh flowers are also provided for your enjoyment. Both rooms feature comfortable, quality queen-sized beds (6 feet wide) that can also be divided into twin beds if required and overlook a variety of mature tropical plants to the garden beyond. One bedroom has an en-suite shower room whilst the other has a separate private bathroom/shower room. Both are equally relaxing and offer total escapism. DVDs can be borrowed (free of charge) from our extensive library.

Tariff
Low-Season Tariff: September to March (excluding Christmas and New Year) - £80.00 per night for two people sharing a double or twin room (with breakfast included). This price is based on a two night minimum stay.
High-Season Tariff: April to August - £90.00 per night for two people sharing a double or twin room (with breakfast included). This price is based on a two night minimum stay.

Breakfast is generally served from 8.00 - 9.30 except on bank holidays, which is by arrangement. Should you require breakfast earlier than the designated times, please ask the hosts upon your arrival. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept pets and owing to the design of the house, this accommodation is not suitable for either children or people who are wheelchair bound. The property operates a strictly no smoking policy.

Xmas Eve, Xmas Day and Boxing Day (early booking recommended)
On Christmas Day, a special treat awaits you in our festively decorated home, which is sure to put you in the Christmas spirit. You will be cordially invited (optional) to join us for drinks at The Spyglass Inn on Christmas morning where a truly fantastic atmosphere is enjoyed by all, including singing Christmas Carols around the piano and a fabulous beach walk to Monks Bay. Boxing Day is also a unique occasion in Ventnor, when locals (and visitors) all congregate along the Esplanade for the annual 12 noon Boxing Day swim. All participants join hands and run into the water wearing fancy dress - this is truly an occasion not to be missed! The three-day tariff is £400.00 for two people sharing. A complimentary champagne breakfast with scrambled eggs and salmon is offered as part of the Christmas celebrations.

New Year (early booking recommended)
For a three-night escape break at New Year, the cost is £400.00 for a queen-sized room including a complimentary champagne breakfast with scrambled eggs and salmon.
