Description
Christina and David invite you to stay with them at The St Leonards and enjoy all that is best in British holidays. Our warm friendly atmosphere, comfortable surroundings and freshly prepared home cooked food combine with the unique magic of the Isle of Wight, to make your holiday just that little bit more special.Built in 1870, The St Leonards is situated close to the famous cliff walk and the lift to Shanklin's award winning safe sandy beaches. With the town centre and the thatched cottages of the Old Village just a few minutes level walk away, this is an ideal base from which to experience an unforgettable holiday exploring the beautiful Isle of Wight.
The St Leonards has been awarded a 4 Diamond English Tourist Council rating, Silver, Warm Welcome and RAC Sparkling Diamond awards.
Situated close to the cliff walk, there is easy access to Shanklin's safe, sandy beaches and to its renowned Old Village, with its wealth of thatched cottages, tea rooms and restaurants. Our seven large and regularly refurbished rooms are set over three floors and all are en-suite.
Breakfast is served from 8.30 to 9.00 a.m. and you can choose from our wide and varied menu ranging from fresh fruit to the traditional Full English. You are sure to find something to your taste and we are only too pleased to cater for any special dietary needs that you may have.
Our comfortable and well stocked bar offers a selection of reasonably priced beers, spirits, wines and soft drinks. After enjoying your day, and perhaps a gentle stroll along the Esplanade, why not relax during the evening over a quiet drink with your family or new found friends in the lounge bar.
Lying just a short sea crossing from the mainland, the Isle of Wight enjoys one of the mildest climates in the British Isles and regularly tops the sunshine league table.
A haven for walkers, cyclists and the discerning holiday maker, the peace and tranquillity of this beautiful Island combine to make it the ideal place to spend a few days away from the hustle and bustle of modern day living. Over half of the Island is recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are over 50 visitor attractions, over 500 miles of beautiful walks and several safe sandy beaches.
