The Island Fish Farm is a purpose-built Angling Complex and Trout Farm with B&B and self catering accommodation. You will find us one mile off the southwest coast of the Isle of Wight, located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between the charming villages of Shorwell and Brighstone.

We have owned and run the business since 1984 and can offer fishing on four separate waters. The main lake is one acre and dedicated to fly fishing for rainbow trout. We allow catch and release but encourage anglers to take their catch by offering a reduced ticket price with the fish charged for by their weight. We offer a fish smoking service and freezing facility for anglers on holiday wishing to collect their catch later.

The second lake is 0.75 acre with an island of willow trees and offers very good carp fishing. Our 2009 best weights were 26 lbs for mirror and 22 lbs for common, with double-figure fish caught most days. We also have two smaller ponds stocked with mixed coarse fish, ideal for the younger angler or those just wanting more action.

Accommodation
The Island Fish Farm can also offer bed and breakfast accommodation with private access in part of the house. This comprises of the main room with outside door, en-suite shower room, two single beds, settee, TV, DVD and tea and coffee making facilities. There is an adjoining room with a double bed, which makes it an ideal unit for families or friends sharing the facilities.

We also have a two-bedroom mobile home for self catering holidays, which sleeps up to four. This accommodation includes a double and two small single beds, bath / shower room, kitchen and lounge / dining area. The mobile is positioned overlooking our main trout lake, with fields behind and a small private patio area. We feel confident you will enjoy staying in this peaceful environment.

We are ideally located for walkers and cyclists wishing to explore the beautiful unspoilt countryside. The local beach is renowned for fossil collecting and walking along it to the west will bring you to the site of dinosaur footprints and casts before reaching Compton Bay, a favourite for surfing and those looking for a natural, non-commercial sandy beach. From the farm, there are wonderful views to the west of the chalk cliffs at Freshwater Bay and the Downs to the north, over which the famous Tennyson Trail can be walked or cycled and the spectacular views of the coast can be enjoyed.
