Kevin and Sue Hare took over Cliff Lodge Guest House in July 2006 and would like to welcome you to stay at their comfortable home on the Isle of Wight. Cliff Lodge is situated adjacent to the famous cliff path - part of the Island's Coastal Walk, between Shanklin and Sandown Bay. In September 2007, we were graded by the Quality in Tourism board and have achieved a rating of 4 stars. We also have a silver grade Green Island award to promote sustainable tourism. We have a large south facing garden to the front of our guest house, where you can relax and enjoy the sea air. To the rear, we have our car park and we are conveniently located by Lake Railway station.
We welcome families with children of all ages to Cliff Lodge Guest House and have two family rooms available, both with TV and video. We can also provide travel cots, (cot sheets not provided) and highchairs.
We have one twin bedroom on the ground floor, suitable for those who have difficulty with the stairs. Our other eight bedrooms are a mix of doubles, twins and a single, all of these have en-suite shower rooms, and our 1 of our single rooms has its own shower in the room, with a toilet across the hall. Tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers and alarm clocks are also provided.
Our lounge at Cliff Lodge Guest House is a comfortable place in which to relax after a fun filled day on the Island and has a colour television for your enjoyment. Please note we operate a NO SMOKING policy throughout the whole property.
Breakfasts are freshly prepared to a high standard. We use as much local produce as possible in order to support other small local businesses. We also offer dinner on some evenings, which can be booked on the day, or you could try one of the various places to eat on the Island, from fish and chips on the sea front to one of the top hotels. We are also licensed to sell alcohol to guests only.
No matter what your age, interests, or the weather, there are plenty of places to visit on the Isle of Wight including many great attractions. Also, there are numerous beautiful beaches, where you may find one of the many dinosaur fossils, or why visit the famous Garlic Farm and trying some Vampire relish?
