Bembridge Windmill is a Grade I listed building, was built around 1700 and is the only surviving windmill on the Isle of Wight. It is one of the Island's best known landmarks and boasts glorious panoramic views across unspoilt countryside to the sea beyond. Bembridge Windmill, although no longer working, still has its original machinery intact and visitors can explore all four floors. Many artists over the years have found Bembridge Windmill to be an inspiration to them, including J.M.W. Turner.
